Kathy Harris
As a Venture Partner to Claritas Health Ventures (CHV) and Claritas Athena Ventures, Kathy Harris deepens Claritas’ commitment to driving healthcare innovation, with a focus on enhancing the overall consumer and patient experience. Her industry expertise and her strategic engagement with key stakeholders will play a critical role in continuing to develop the CHV and Athena programs, including existing and future funds and investments.
Kathy is a recognized business leader with expertise in creating enterprise growth through strategic M&A transactions and the efficient utilization of capital markets, with a focus on healthcare companies ranging from entrepreneurial ventures to established public companies. She brings a deep understanding of what it takes to build and scale a high-growth business, create sustainable shareholder value, and identify and manage market, technology, and execution risks inherent in a company’s life cycle.
Kathy was most recently Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Sharecare, where she spearheaded the Company’s M&A effort, leading the company through 15 acquisitions. Before joining Sharecare, Kathy was a General Partner at Noro-Moseley Partners (NMP), an early growth equity firm, where she built a dedicated business development function, as well as sourced and evaluated investment opportunities in the healthcare sector. Prior to NMP, she was a Partner at Technology Ventures, where she evaluated opportunities in the information technology space and actively worked with the Firm’s portfolio companies. Earlier in her career, Kathy held roles at Sirrom Capital Corporation, a national mezzanine debt provider and in the investment banking division at J.C. Bradford & Co. (now UBS). She started her career as a CPA at KPMG.
Since inception in 2019, Kathy has served on the Board of Directors of Kindbody, a leading employee fertility benefit solution. Prior to this, from 2011-2017, Kathy served on the Board and Audit Committee of Progyny (Nasdaq: PGNY), a fertility benefits management company, and its two predecessors (Auxogyn and Fertility Authority), advising management in development and execution of rebranding, go-to-market, and growth strategies leading to a subsequent IPO in 2019. From 2007 to 2011, she served on the Board of Valor Healthcare, a nationwide operator of community-based outpatient clinics for veterans, which was later acquired by Humana.
In addition to her private sector experience, Kathy is also a respected nonprofit leader. Between 2007 and 2015, she served on the Clemson University Research Foundation Board, including role as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committees. Additionally, she served on the Women's Leadership Board at Harvard's Kennedy School and the Board and Executive Committee of The Metro Atlanta Chamber.
Kathy holds an MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and B.S. in Accounting from Murray State University.
